We are pleased to welcome Prof. dr. Susanne Janssen (ESHCC) as the newest member of the LDE GMD centre's AEB (Academic Executive Board). Susanne Janssen is a Full Professor of Sociology of Media and Culture, Research Director of the Department of Media and Communication, and Academic Director of the Erasmus Research Centre for Media, Communication, and Culture (ERMeCC).
Susanne's publications cover a variety of themes in the sociology of media, culture, and the arts, including issues of cultural globalization and the role of intermediaries in the cultural field. Her current research projects focus on the consequences of increased diversity and digitalization for agents, institutions, structures, processes and practices in the fields of media, culture, education, and politics.
We are pleased to have Susanne on board and to incorporate the Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication further into the centre.
