We are happy to announce that last month our board member Jorrit Rijpma was appointed Professor of European Law at Leiden University. The chair involves a specialisation Area of Freedom, Security and Justice and is connected to the research programme The Progression of EU law: accommodating change and upholding values (PEUL) of the Leiden Law School and the university profile area on Citizenship, Migration and Global Transformations. In his new role, prof.dr. Jorrit Rijpma will reinforce research and teaching in the field of migration and refugee law at the Leiden Law School as well as at our centre where he coordinates the GMD Master course Legal Perspectives on the Governance of Migration and Diversity.
