On 20 January, we launched our Contactraad (Stakeholder Advisory Board) consisting of several experts in the field of migration and diversity to enhance our societal impact. The board is formed to structure the relationship with societal stakeholders, including cities such as Rotterdam as well as NGOs such as UNHCR Netherlands, the Dutch Advisory Committee on Migration Affairs and the Federation of Dutch Trade Unions. The aim of the stakeholder advisory board is to provide the centre with professional input for our current and future research agenda.
During an interactive online session, the stakeholder advisory board members were introduced to our centre and brainstormed about the possibilities to strengthen the relationship between research and education, and which societal issues deserve more attention in our research. We were happy to see the engagement of all participants and to collect many interesting ideas The collected ideas of this enriching session will be further developed in the coming months.
We are looking forward to collaborate with our contactraad and are convinced that this new network will result in exciting new collaborations!
