Vanessa Ntinu holds a degree in Political Science (European Politics and External Relations) from the University of Amsterdam (2019). Having migrated to Toronto, Canada at the age of 6, Vanessa has always been interested in notions surrounding race, anti-Blackness, diversity, and criticizing stringent migration laws and institutions. Since then, Vanessa has lived in Kenya and has spent the last 7 years in the Netherlands, furthering her interest in migration, notions of citizenship, institutional anti-Blackness, diversity, and inclusion.  She has worked in the fields of migration, advocacy, and communications. 

Since February 2021, Vanessa has joined the LDE Centre Governance of Migration and Diversity as the Jr. Executive Manager. As the Jr. Executive Manager, she dedicates herself to the internal and external communication as well as the daily management and development of the research centre. Her main goals are to continue to increase the centre’s visibility, strengthen its interdisciplinary character and use its potential to connect research and education with practice to generate societal impact.
