2020-2021 GMD Master cohort graduate!

On Friday, the 27th of August, the 2020-2021 Master cohort congregated at the EUR campus to graduate and celebrate their achievements this year. Due to strict COVID regulations, families and friends were, unfortunately, unable to attend the special event. A streaming link was however made available so families and friends could participate online.

'Welcome to the graduation of the Master in Resiliency and Self Discipline!'

GradAll those in attendance could not deny the challenges that the last year had posed on the students. From lockdowns to curfews, to digital learning and a constantly changing educational landscape, the 2020-2021 cohort faced nothing less than a sequence of obstacles. In spite of this, the students came out victorious! Through a number of laudatios presented to students by their supervisors, we got to hear how students beat the odds to turn in exceptional theses that critically assessed various aspects of the governance of migration and diversity. During the same ceremony, the first LDE GMD fellow, Stamatis Melissourgos (SOC), was announced.

The graduates were awarded their diplomas, an LDE Certificate that confirms that they have successfully completed all the joint courses, an Erasmus statue, and an Erasmus chocolate. The ceremony lasted a little under two hours but celebrations continued at the Cum Lade Room, where bites and drinks were provided.

Congratulations once again to a resilient, dedicated, and committed 2020-2021 Master LDE GMD cohort!
