A weekend away: GMD Board organize short holiday for cohort

weekend awayThe weekend of May 12-14 was a special time for the students of the GMD Master programme as they embarked on a delightful trip to Wolphaartsdijk, Zeeland. With a group of 20 enthusiastic individuals, the destination was a sailing school situated in a picturesque harbor. The weekend was filled with exciting activities, great food, and unforgettable moments.

As the group arrived at their destination, the weekend kicked off with a fantastic potluck dinner, drawing inspiration from a previous GMD event held earlier in the year. The student's culinary skills shone as they showcased their talents. It was clear that there were some true chefs among them. The evening was filled with laughter, shared dishes, and a sense of togetherness. After the satisfying feast, they engaged in various party games and dancing.

The following day, the students ventured to two beautiful beaches in Zeeland. Not even the wind could dampen their spirits as they searched for oysters among the locals. With excitement, the students relished the opportunity to indulge in freshly caught oysters from the sea.

In the evening, the group gathered for a delightful dinner of tacos. Conversations flowed, laughter echoed, and the bonds among the students grew stronger. The day ended with cheering for various countries while watching the Eurovision Song Contest.

Unfortunately, the next day marked the end of the memorable weekend. With a mixture of exhaustion and contentment, the group embarked on their journey back to their respective cities. They were grateful for the shared experiences, cherishing the memories made during this special weekend together.
