On 15 March, the GMD Student Board was thrilled to host 11 recent GMD alumni for an evening Career Panel. This hybrid session brought together alumni from around the world, with panelists joining in from Ghana, Canada, and Germany, as well as in-person at ISS. Alumni shared their experience navigating the job market and building their careers, and current students were able to ask just how the skills they learned in the GMD MA program prepared them for their current work.
With speakers coming from government agencies, non-profits, private sector companies, think tanks, and academia, the Career Panel gave students the chance to hear a wide variety of perspectives on early career paths. Following the Panel, attendees had the opportunity to join a Q&A and informal drinks at ISS’s Butterfly Bar, where they could further connect with recent alumni.
